Hi there! I'm already getting started on my holiday cards this year, as I found it much better to make a few here and there throughout the year instead of trying to make so many in a time crunch in November :) I made the card using this week's Penny Black Saturday Challenge found here. It is a 'Case It' challenge - I changed the background papers and stamp. The stamp I used is from the PB set Christmas Critters. TFL!

Just a quick post today to share this SUO card. The base and patterned paper are both Cherry Cobbler. The stamp set is Elements of Style and the ribbon is old olive. I cut the image out with the top note die. TFL!

I have been doing some more colouring with my Copic markers as you can see :) This sweet image is called Angelina from Mo's Digital Pencil. I pulled the colours from the back ground paper which is SU! Razzleberry Lemonade dsp. Copic colours V01 and V05 match nicely for the Razzleberry colour. I used Y15,19,21 for the yellow balloon and RV21,23,25 for the pink one.

Her hair is E31,35 and the shoes are N1,4. I outlined her in N1 as well. This week's theme over at Mo's Challenge blog is "Anything Goes" with an optional sketch.

I made this card using today's sketch challenge #370 on SCS. It is one of my favourite 'go to' sketches. I used Mo Manning's 'Love Ya' image again :) I coloured it with Copic Markers and used pinks and brown this time around. The dsp is from SU! called Razzleberry Lemonade and the card base is Melon Mambo. The sentiment is from the SU! set Hugs & Wishes. TFL!

Hi there! I've been making some time lately to colour with my Copic Markers. So, I decided to use one of the images to make a card for Mo's Challenge this week - All My Favourite Things :) This cute image by Mo is called Love Ya. I bought this one as a stamp set at my LSS. It has a great verse included which says "You're pretty much my MOST FAVOURITE of ALL TIME in the history of EVER!" I like my cards to be fairly clean & simple so I was only able to get a few of my favourite things on here but they are:

Brads, die cut shapes (especially love circles), ribbon, my favourite SU! In Colour (Pool Party), flowers, polka dot paper, and of course a favourite image by Mo Manning.

Good morning! On today's Try a New Technique Challenge on SCS we had a choice between two things :) I chose the Double Vision technique. I stamped the sentiment in black then stamped over it again in Pretty in Pink to match the rest of the card. The image is called Birthday Fairy Lee from Mo's Digital Pencil. I coloured her in with Copic markers and added some Crystal Stickles to her wings and to the stars on the cupcake as well. I cut the image out and popped it up on the die cut circles. The background paper is called Sending Love Specialty paper from SU! TFL!

I made 3 of these today for the Christmas Card Challenge on SCS. This card has a Night of Navy card stock base, patterned paper and ink. I ran the whisper white through the bigshot in a snowflake embossing folder and tied the blue and white ribbon around it before adhering to the base. TFL!

The Penny Black Saturday Challenge today is called Floral Frenzy. For the background on this I pulled out a piece of Afternoon Tea retired SU! paper. The stamp is from the Penny Black set Stuck On You. I used Copic markers to colour in the cats :) I also added a flower shaped button and attached it with some baker's twine. A piece of Groovy Guava stitched ribbon and a sentiment from Short & Sweet complete this card :) I was also inspired by THIS scarf from Everything Turquoise - today's Inspiration site on SCS. Hello! It's snowing here today, but thankfully it is a little bit warmer then the rest of the week has been. We've had some very cold days, even some -35 C brrrr! It is suppose to start warming up now though :) Anyways, onto the card...today's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststamper's is the website "Land of Nod". Here is the inspiration piece I used.

The background paper is called Sending Love Specialty from SU! and the stamp is from the SU! set Pun Fun. I used Copic markers to colour in the image and adhered it to several circle die cuts. Well, that's it from me for today.

Today's Free For All Challenge on Splitcoaststampers is - "Have a Heart or Two!" Perfect for making Valentine's Day cards. This card uses Sending Love Specialty papers with Real Red, Very Vanilla and Pretty in Pink card stock. I cut the top note paper in half and flipped one side then adhered the stamped Flamingo image to several die cut circles. The Flamingo image is from Valentine Defined and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I added a few small heart brads to the corners and some Real Red satin ribbon as well. Hi there, I'm back after a very long blogging break of almost two months I see! I thoroughly enjoyed December and all the wonderful things the holiday season brings - spending time with family & friends, holiday treats and special events to name a few :) After packing up all the Christmas decorations and getting back into a routine I have finally made some time to sit down and make a card. I used today's sketch challenge from Splitcoaststampers and combined it with the SU! sets I {heart} hearts and Teeny Tiny Wishes to create this Valentine's Day card. Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Real Red and a touch of black (the sentiment) - a classic Valentine's Day colour combo! I hope to have another card to share tomorrow.

Hello! I have finished my Christmas cards for this year :) so I don't have anything festive to share today. I love making Christmas cards but it was a nice change to make a few cards the last few days for different occasions. I needed some masculine Thank You's so here is one I made. I have used this layout before with this stamp but I really like it so here is another one with the lighthouse from the retired SU! set A light Unto My Path. It is a CC base, with a piece of embossed CC card stock layered on top (I used the Square Lattice EB folder). The lighthouse and sentiment were also stamped in CC onto Very Vanilla. To The Nines Specialty paper and the lighthouse were matted with Sage Shadow card stock and the ribbon is CC taffeta.

Seems to be warming up here a bit today after a week of very cold temperatures, it will be a welcome change. Have a great day!

A Winter Scene...

We are having a fierce winter storm here today! Lots of wind, snow and cold temperatures! Glad I had the snow tires put on the vehicles before this one hit :) Anyways, today's theme for the challenge on SCS was to create a winter card and this is what I made. The stamp is from Northwoods and I used Copic markers to colour it. I added lots of Stickles and also Liquid Pearls for snowflakes, it's hard to see this in the photo though. This vintage Santa image is from a retired SU! set called Old-Fashioned Christmas. I started with a Real Red base and embossed the Hunter Green cs with the Petals-a-Plenty EB folder. I layered that over some gold paper I had in my stash and added the lacey scalloped border along the bottom. The Merry & Bright sentiment is from To You & Yours also from SU! Santa is watercoloured and has some Crystal Stickles accenting the trim and pom pom of his hat! TFL!

I used this piece of wallpaper as inspiration today for IC309 at SCS. Basically, I pulled the dark pink colour and damask design from it and came up with this card. I used the Bloomin' Beautiful set from SU! and the colours are Rose Red, Always Artichoke, Whisper White and Basic Black. I added a vintage brad to the centre of the seam binding bow and a couple of brads beside the image at the top as well. I think I'll use this as a birthday card :) Have a wonderful day!

With the exception of the embossing folder this is an SU! only card I made for today's inspiration challenge on Splitcoaststamper's. I used this globe as a starting point and thought of this SU! set The Open Sea. The colours are Cherry Cobbler, River Rock, Basic Black, Very Vanilla and Whisper White. The River Rock base was embossed with The Diamond in The Rough folder.

Hi there! I have another Christmas card to share today :) It is a clean and simple design using the tree image from the SU! Snow Swirled set. I stamped it in Old Olive ink onto Very Vanilla card stock. The dsp is from a Simply Scrappin' kit. The sentiment is from the set Petite Pairs.

Today's Ways To Use It challenge on SCS was to use leaves somewhere on your card. The tree image has tiny swirling leaves in it so I added this one to the gallery :)

Several years ago I saw a card using this stamp on this blog and have been looking for the stamp ever since. I finally found the stamp and cased the card :) I kept the layout and colours and changed the sentiment and ribbon. Also, I left the base plain and added texture by embossing the yellow strip of card stock. This is such a fun stamp I know I will enjoy using it!

I used today's sketch from SCS for the layout of this Christmas card. I've still got lots of this older Wintergreen dsp left to use and haven't made anything with it for quite awhile so I pulled it out to use on this one. I stamped the snowman image from The More the Merrier retired hostess set and used SU markers to colour it. Then added the two silver brads and stamped the sentiment from the set Christmas Greetings - another quick card for the holidays done!

Hi there! I finally bought my first MFT stamp a few weeks ago, it's called Rose. It has taken me a little longer to get stamping with it then I would have liked, but, I finally had time to make this card :) Today's SCS Colour Challenge was my starting point - Regal Rose, Blushing Bride and Lucky Limeade. I paper pieced her dress and then coloured over it using a Copic Marker. I coloured the rest of the image in using Copics and the Regal Rose SU marker colour. I have another birthday card to share today...

I paper pieced the chocolate cupcake and popped it up on the circle of Whisper White card stock. I used Pink Pirouette as the card base and added random widths of various papers to create a simple background. The sentiment comes from the SU set A Word For You and the Cupcake is from Crazy for Cupcakes. Today's clean and simple challenge on SCS was cupcakes so this one was perfect for it. I had time last night to colour in this Penny Black image and make this clean and simple card. I stamped one of the sentiments from a set by MFT along the bottom of the card and added some Pool Party ribbon. The long retired Fall Flowers dsp works quite well with this new in colour which is great because I have quite a bit of it to use up!

Hello there, and happy Fall!

I just got back from a short vacation and I'm starting to make some time to stamp again after taking a break for the summer months as well :) As you can see this card is not inspired by the Fall season at all. It's a cheery birthday card with one of my Betsy Bluebell images, it would be great for a Spring or Summer B-day. I pulled the colours from the designer paper and used Copic markers to colour the image. I also added some Pretty in Pink satin ribbon and a cute crocheted flower :)

I made this wedding card to add to my stash - I never seem to have one ready when needed! The inside sentiment - 'Happiness Always' comes from the set Happy Greetings. I stamped the flourish from Baroque Motifs and the butterfly from Great Friend. The paper and ink colours are Chocolate Chip and Pretty in Pink :)

A Christmas card for my stash...I actually think this year I might just have enough to mail out :)

I stamped one of the images from the SU! set More the Merrier onto watercolour paper and coloured it in with inks and an aqua painter. The dsp is retired Ski Slope and the ribbon is Real Red taffeta. The card stock is Baja Breeze, Soft Sky and Whisper White. I also added two felt snowflakes to embellish it further and ran the soft sky paper through an embossing folder.

I 'm playing catch up for July & August for the Christmas Challenge cards on SCS, hopefully I'll have time to post more festive cards over the next few weeks!

Hello again, after enjoying a wonderful summer vacation I have finally made it back into my stamp room - this is the first card I have made since July! I used the SU! set Fabulous Florets combined with some Cottage Wall dsp and the following colours: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Whisper White and Pale Plum.

Snowy Branch Out...

Good morning! We have had several days of rain, and very heavy rain at times too! At 4 am this morning the rain was coming down so hard it woke me up! I watched it for a few minutes, then went back to sleep and when I woke up around 6 am it was still pouring! Our poor old sump pump has been going off every 5 minutes it seems like. Apparently, we are in for a few more days of this very wet weather. Anyways, I have made lots of Christmas cards so far this year and wanted to make a couple of Thank You cards to send out after the holidays as well. Here is one I made using the Branch Out set. The paper is retired Wintergreen DSP with Sage Shadow, Whisper White and Crumb Cake card stock. The tree was stamped in Crumb Cake ink but for the snowflakes I used a shimmery Archival Ink called Brilliance in the colour Platinum Planet. The sentiment comes from the set A Word For You.

Today's Inspiration Challenge was - Italian Pottery...I chose a piece that had lots of very bright yellow and used it as a starting point for this card. Here is a picture of the pottery. I don't use bright yellow very much so this is outside my comfort zone for sure! Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray, Basic Black and Whisper White are the colours here. Embrace Life and On Your Birthday are the two stamp sets used. Hope you have an enjoyable Saturday!

These two cards share the same sketch design and papers... Old Olive, Real Red, Chocolate Chip and Merry Moments DSP. For the card above I stamped the bird/flourish image from the set Holiday Best using Real Red onto a sticker from the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin' kit.

There is no stamping on this second card I just used up some more stickers from the kit. Well, that's another two holiday cards ready for December :)

Today's sketch challenge on SCS is one of my go to sketches! I love this layout so simple and works well with so many of the stamps I have :) I've used the sailboat from the Nursery Necessities set for this baby card. It is stamped in Real Red, Old Olive, Marina Mist and So Saffron. The papers are, So Saffron patterned paper, Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Whisper White and Real Red card stock. The taffeta ribbon is Bashful Blue.

The Open Sea...

Good morning! We are getting some much needed rain here today! Will be a good day to get caught up on some inside chores and maybe have some time left over to stamp as well :)

This month's Central Theme on SCS is - A Wonderful World! I'd say sailing the open seas is definitely part of our wonderful world! The colours used here are cherry cobbler, basic black, crumb cake and some basic gray. The stamp sets are, The Open Sea and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. The dsp is Newsprint, there are two sheets with a vintage world map in the package and that is the piece I chose for the bottom of the card. The thin black card stock under the gray taffeta ribbon was embossed with the square lattice folder. This is also for the sketch challenge this week :) Another masculine birthday card ready to go! I will need a few more masculine birthday cards soon so using today's Technique Challenge on SCS - Patchwork, I created this card. I made a four square patchwork with To The Nines designer papers under the focal stamp called On The Green from SU! I used markers in Sage Shadow, Always Artichoke and Chocolate Chip to ink up the stamp image. Then I pierced a jumbo grommet through the satin ribbon and bottom piece of dsp and tied the ribbon through the centre for a finishing touch. The birthday sentiment is stamped inside on Whisper White card stock. Thanks for dropping by!

Hello! Yesterday's Free 4 All Challenge over at Splitcoaststamper's was to use a stamp set that you purchased but never used! I bought this set called Holiday Frame Fun way back in 2002 and never ended up using it so, I dragged in out of the closet and it saw ink for the first time :) I cheated on the sentiment which is from Christmas Greetings because I have used all my sentiments many times over! The colours here are Real Red, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, Whisper White and the dsp is retired Ski Slope. Another card ready to go for the holidays!

My little box of Christmas cards is starting to fill up :) The Christmas Challenge I joined on SCS has been great motivation to keep me on track this year - I will definitely have enough cards for the holidays by the time December rolls around! Last year I was scrambling at the last minute to finish making cards and with all the other things that need to get done at that time of the year it will be nice to have this task accomplished ahead of time!

This card has a similar layout to the previous Dasher card I posted but the papers here come from the retired Simply Scrappin' kit Christmas Jingle. The border sticker of trees is also from that kit. There is a row of piercing along the top edge of the Old Olive card stock and I added some Real Red ribbon and that's it.

We are getting some lovely warm and sunny days now in Alberta - it's so enjoyable to be outside doing some gardening, walking the dog, going for a run or just relaxing in the backyard! Our winters are so long here that this beautiful weather is truly glorious once it finally arrives!

Elements of Style is such a pretty set I should really ink it up more often! I cased THIS beautiful card by Lynn Put. I kept the same colours and basic layout, changed the ribbon and didn't distress the edges. I also left off the paper flower and a few of the other embellishments. I've added the hummingbird from the set and punched out the sentiment with an oval punch.

I love the softness of these colours combined with this floral image!

Good morning! This image comes from Flourishes in a set of 17 - called Sweet Violets. Lots of sentiments and smaller images are included in the set. I coloured the image in with Copic markers and cut it out with a rectangle die. The scalloped mat is Perfect Plum card stock. I embossed the Whisper White piece with a leafy eb folder. There is a piece of Perfect Plum dsp under that and then the base of Elegant Eggplant. I stamped the sentiment in black, added silver brads and cut the ends like a banner. After making the bow I added an antique brad to the centre and adhered it for the final touch! Thanks for stopping by!

Hello, today's SCS colour challenge colours are: Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette and Regal Rose. I had this image from Mo's Digital Pencil coloured with Copic's already and was just waiting to find some time to put a card together with it. When I saw the colour challenge today I decided this would be a perfect image for this challenge. I embossed the piece of Pink Pirouette paper with the square lattice embossing folder and cut the image out using oval nestabilities. The paper rose was made using the MFT Rolled Rose Die-namic dies. I sponged it with Regal Rose ink before adhering it with a large glue dot to the white taffeta ribbon :)

Good morning! I hope you had a great weekend! This image from Whipper Snapper Designs called Ski Bear was watercoloured with various SU inks. I messed up a bit around his hat with the red, so I fixed it up as best I could and then added the glitter to try to hide it even more :) The dsp is from the retired Ski Slope pack and the round sentiment from SU's retired set So Many Scallops.

Last week while stamping with a friend of mine we worked with a few images from a set of her's called Greeting Card Kids. We coloured this sweet little girl with Pearlescent watercolours so IRL there is a nice shimmer to the image. I used Labels One dies to cut out the shape and popped it up on dimensionals. I can't remember the name of the red dsp in the background at the moment! I ran a piece of white card stock through the bigshot using the square lattice embossing folder and the ribbon is Real Red taffeta. This card is for two challenges, today's Ways To Use It Challenge - Die Cuts, and the monthly Christmas Card Challenge both from Splitcoaststampers. I'm trying to keep my Christmas card designs simple this year so not a lot of extras on this one :)

Hello! This little owl is dropping by to say "Follow your HEART - it knows the way!" That is the sentiment I stamped on the inside :) I punched out the owl using the two-step owl punch and stamped using the Valentine Defined set from SU and Tangerine Tango ink. The colours are Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait, Tangerine Tango, Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip. This is a pretty straight forward card so I will leave it at that. I saw THIS card on Jen's blog and it was my inspiration!

Good morning! Today I have a clean and simple card to share. This Sympathy card uses the tree stamp from the SU set Thoughts and Prayers and a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes. The inks and card stock colours are chocolate chip and blush blossom and the ribbon is groovy guava. The flowers were punched out, sponged with ink and a brad was added to the centres. Happy Friday! I think that I've posted enough Christmas cards for one week, lol! I'm sharing a birthday card today instead :) The Free for All challenge on SCS today is to use something you got for free on your card. The dsp on this card comes from the free hostess In-Colour pack I got a few months ago. Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz dsp combined with Whisper White and Chocolate Chip card stock. I stamped the cupcake image and coloured it with inks and a blender pen, then added dazzling diamonds glitter to the icing. This card is very similar to one I recently posted but in different colours. I like this layout so I wanted to use it again :) Thanks for stopping in today!

The only stamping I did for this card was the season's greetings sentiment! The ornaments and borders are stickers from the Christmas Jingle simply scrappin' kit. I am determined to use up every scrap of this, can you tell by all the Christmas cards I've been posting lately! lol! Well, there are more cards where this came from so this is still not the end of these papers and stickers! I think this turned out pretty well, I wasn't sure at first but it's growing on me :)

Hello! I have a Christmas card to share today :) Dasher is a great stamp to work with, I have really enjoyed making some Christmas cards with it lately. The cardstock is Garden Green, Real Red and Very Vanilla and the dsp is retired Merry Moments. Dasher is stamped in Real Red and popped up on dimensionals over the card base and a strip of Real Red cs with some taffeta ribbon also in Real Red. The sentiment comes from the set Christmas Greetings.

Brrr, after a gorgeous two days with temperatures in the 20's we have plummeted to 6 degrees Celsius today with some rain and cloud. Glad I was able to get most of my gardening done although I'm not sure my new flowers are going to be happy in this cooler weather! I'm glad it is raining though, it has been very dry and windy here lately and the rain is very welcome.

For this card, I used the Sweet Sunday sketch from last week and used a stamp from the new SU! summer mini called Sail Away. After watercolouring the image I combined it with the new nautical papers, added the wavy border and some kraft taffeta ribbon to finish it off :)

I made it for two reasons first, because I only have one sympathy card left in my stash and two, for the Free 4 all challenge on SCS on Friday which was - opposites attract. We were to use colours that are opposites on the colour wheel! I used Ballet Blue and So Saffron with some Whisper White for this clean and simple card.

Hi there! I've wanted to try these colours all week since the ColourQ team posted them! I had time last night to work on 2 cards using Peach Parfait, Basic Gray, Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White. I also took inspiration from this dress on the website Spotted Moth for the SCS Inspiration Challenge. For the first card I stamped with the sets Because I Care and Teeny Tiny Wishes. This is a sketch I have used before and really like with this pretty flower stamp.

For the second card, I used the set Crazy for Cupcakes. I combined some new papers with some scraps of retired papers to create both of these cards.

I watched Dawn Griffith's Youtube video to figure out how to make the top card. It has a Sliding Tab so that you can remove the candy from the treat cup without tearing the card :) The top card is a case of Dawn's.

Once I had the technique figured out, I made this second card with a different layout :)

One is for my daughter's birthday and the other will be mailed out to my niece for her birthday :) It is nice to have them finished in time!

Good morning! Yesterday I inked up (for the first time) the stamp Baby Steps. This is the card I made with it. No challenges for this one just me trying to come up with a card not using any sketch or inspiration :) I used a base of Bashful Blue and stamped in the same ink onto Whisper White and matted that with So Saffron. The DSP is the retired Delicate Dots paper. The taffeta ribbon is also Bashful Blue and the buttons are old SU from my stash. A little scalloped border along the bottom and some piercing around the image finishes this one.

Here is another Christmas card I made for the Christmas Card Challenge on SCS :) That is 2 of the 5 I want to make each month until December this year. I stamped the image in Real Red onto Very Vanilla card stock and used a blender pen and various inks to highlight some of the main images. Then I added dazzling diamonds glitter which is hard to see but IRL it gives the image a nice shimmer. Still trying to use up the retired Christmas Simply Scrappin' Kit I had in my stash. I will still have more cards to share with this paper in future posts until it is gone :)

Wow! Two posts in one day, that hasn't happened here in a very long time!

I just bought this stamp set called Countryside by SU! so this is my first attempt at watercolouring this little truck. I used the colours from this week's Colour Q seen below. (I did have to add some red for the apples though :) The colours in real life are quite vibrant. I'm happy with how this turned out, and really enjoyed the watercolouring. This card will be perfect for my stash of masculine cards.

Friends Fur-ever Thank You...

I did some water colouring last night after watching a technique video on You Tube. The little dog from the set Friends Fur-ever was coloured with Basic Gray and the collar and nose are Regal Rose. The technique video explained to wet the image you are colouring first with your brush then add the ink and let it spread adding more water or colour as you go along. I used this simple image to begin with to see how it would turn out. The main thing you have to be aware of is to let the colour dry a bit before adding a different colour to another part of the image or it will bleed.

I added some white satin ribbon and the DSP is a scrap from the retired Walk in the Park paper pack.

I made this clean & simple card for yesterday's Free For All Challenge on SCS - Take a Seat! I've had this SU set Friends Fur-Ever for a little while now and thought it was about time to ink it up. Since there is a chair image included in this set it worked perfectly for the challenge. I used the masking technique and also paper pieced the birthday present. The image is watercoloured using Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi, Basic Gray and Daffodil Delight inks. The mat around the image is Daffodil Delight card stock. This is a fun set to stamp with :)

I had not used this SU set Asian Artistry in a long time so I inked it up last night and paired it with some retired Haiku DSP.

I made two very similar cards, I changed to satin ribbon on one and added a piece of card stock under the 1/4" grosgrain ribbon on the other.

The card stock used is Tangerine Tango, Old Olive and Apricot Appeal. The image was stamped in Timber Brown Stazon onto watercolour paper. The bird was water coloured with Tangerine Tango and I've added some Old Olive to the highlight the leaves as well.

Hello there! We are getting a Spring blizzard today, they are forecasting 10-20 cm of snow :( Having just returned from sunny, warm Arizona I am not too happy to see more snow! The good news is it is not suppose to last long and we should be back to more seasonal weather in a few days :)

This card is for today's Ways to Use It Challenge on SCS -Hey People, it is another Betsy Bluebell image from the Penny Black set I purchased recently. I needed a cheery, fun Get Well card so I chose this cute image. The patterned paper is Twitterpated by WeRMemoryKeepers. The card stock is regal rose, pretty in pink , soft sky and whisper white. I used Copic markers to colour her in and added some of my favourite ribbon - white taffeta :)

Another card using Branch Out today :) I love this 'newly acquired' retired SU set! It will see a lot of ink I am sure of that! Today's Ways to Use It challenge at SCS is to use decorative scissors and if you don't have any (which I don't) you can cheat and use a border punch. I used the scalloped border punch along the bottom piece of whisper white card stock.

I used the same layout as yesterday's post but stamped the sentiment inside for this one. The ink colours are chocolate chip, creamy caramel, certainly celery, pretty in pink, regal rose and rose red. The card stock is barely banana, regal rose and whisper white and the patterned paper is certainly celery. I added some white taffeta ribbon and that is it - a simple Springtime birthday card that I will be mailing away very soon :)

Hi there! I finally had some time today to stamp with this 'new to me' set! I was in search of this retired set by SU called Branch Out for some time and my friend Debbie was able to track one down for me (Thanks again Debbie!)

I used the sketch from the Crazy 4 Challenges blog as it seemed perfect for this set :) I was in the mood to use Pink's today and this image reminds me of Cherry tree's blossoming in Spring which is the look I was going for! When we lived in Toronto the Cherry Trees in High Park would bloom so beautifully in the Spring and the fragrance was so lovely! I do miss walking in that wonderful park at this time of year!

Today's Free For All Challenge at Splitcoaststamper's is called 'Home Sweet Home'. I have used The Harvest Home set from SU for my card. I coloured the image in with Copic markers and lightly sponged River Rock ink over the image with the metal square die on so that the edges stayed white. The papers are Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip card stock and 'To The Nines' designer series paper (retired). I added some satin ribbon and stamped the sentiment inside saying Happy Thanksgiving! Another card for my stash!

I'm finally getting around to posting a card I made a few weeks ago. The stamp is Teddy's Party by Penny Black. The base of this card is Daffodil Delight and the mat around the image is Marina Mist. The designer paper is from a sheet of Bella Blvd paper that I picked up from a local scrapbook store.

I coloured the image with Copic Markers and as you can see I made the mistake of colouring in the bow instead of leaving it white :( Oh well, it was my first attempt at colouring this stamp so next time I will surely get it right! Ha!

It's another cloudy day here, and I sure hope the sunshine returns soon to melt all of this snow away so it looks and feels more like Spring around here! Some of the birds are starting to return, on the weekend I saw a huge flock of Canada geese fly over. I've had Chickadees and Nuthatches around the suet feeder all winter, but recently I noticed a pair of Blue Jays as well :) So, these are good signs that warmer temperatures and sunshine are on the way it just seems to be taking an awfully long time getting here this year!

Today's Ways to use it Challenge on SCS is to use a smile on your card :) Betsy Bluebell is definitely smiling! I started with a base of Elegant Eggplant and added the strip of Perfect Plum card stock and Elegant Eggplant DSP. The ribbon is white satin and the mat around the image is Melon Mambo cut out with a scalloped rectangle die. I coloured her in with Copic markers. I think she's ready for the party!

This stamp is from the Laurence Collection - Stampavie, it is called Star gazing :) I picked this up at my LSS a while ago. So far I've been able to stick to my promise to stamp at least one or two Christmas cards each week this year so I am ready by the time December rolls around...here is one for this week :) I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured it with Copic markers. This is a fast image to colour as there is a lot of white space :) I'll definitely be making up more of these. I matted the image in Marina mist with a scalloped rectangle. The background is Marina Mist DSP and Whisper White run through the big shot with a snowflake embossing folder. The ribbon is Real Red.

Hi there, this is for today's Inspiration Challenge on SCS - Fossil is the inspiration website and I chose this small coin purse.

I stamped the birdcage from the SU set Happy Moments and also used Baroque Motifs. These are both sets I haven't used in a long time so it was nice to pull them out and ink them up!

I used Crumb cake, Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White card stock, retired Bella Birds DSP and Crumb Cake taffeta ribbon.

Good morning! I have this bright and cheerful birthday card to share with you today :) The SCS challenge today is to do something with the edges on your card. For mine, I added the scalloped edge around the main image and then sponged the patterned paper and card stock with ink, something I normally don't take the time to do.

I have used a Penny Black image from the set Betsy Bluebell - isn't she sweet! There are 4 images and several sentiments in this set so I will be posting cards with the rest of the images over the next few weeks. I coloured her in with my Copics and added the sentiment and flower and button embellishment. The card stock colours are Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist and Riding Hood Red. The patterned paper is Flower Garden by Echo Park.

Good morning! I'm still trying to work on at least one or two Christmas cards each week, here is one I made recently using the SU set A Christmas Cardinal. The card stocks are real red, old olive and chocolate chip. Retired Ski Slope is the DSP I used. The image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto artist marker paper and coloured with Copic markers. The sentiment was stamped in real red and punched out with an SU circle punch. So, I have another holiday card completed for my stash!

Hi there! I'm back in my stamp room after a week of vacation in the sunny Caribbean! It was a wonderful trip and now it is back to winter for a while longer here in Alberta. I coloured this image before I left and just put the finishing touches on the card today. I used Copic markers to colour in this image from Mo's Digital Pencil.

I just returned from a week away - a cruise to the Eastern Caribbean - it was wonderful!

Top picture is part of the harbour on St. John.

Here are a few pictures of beautiful Trunk Bay, we went snorkelling here in the National Park on the island of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The sand was as soft as flour and so white - the water incredibly warm and such a gorgeous colour of turquoise!

It is almost -30C (-20F approx.) here today - brrrr! At least the sun is shining that always makes it 'seem' a little warmer outside! Ha! Happily, I will be some where much warmer soon for a little break from winter :)

I am continuing to make my Holiday cards for Dec. 2011 - and last week I stamped a few of these images from the SU set Home for Christmas, and yesterday I had time to put this card together with one of the images I finished colouring.

Hello there, today I have two cards to share. Both use the same image and design, but, as you can see the colours are different. For the top card I used lots of red and grey Copics (R29, R27, R24, N1, N4) and the one below I used aquas, greys and browns (BG75, BG72, BG49, BG45, N1, N4, E37, E35, E31).

This image from Mo's Digital Pencil was fun to work on and I am looking forward to making more of these cards for mailing to family and friends for the holidays in December. I used the snowflake from the SU set Season of Joy, some dazzling diamonds glitter and some white taffeta ribbon for embellishing on both cards. Papers are Real Red and Sage Shadow CS, DSP is (To The Nines and Love Impressions).

The inside sentiment reads "Warmest greetings of the season and every good wish for the coming year." from SU's Many Merry Messages.

CAS107, Snowflakes & Ski Bear...

It's Monday today so the new clean & simple challenge is up on SCS! This week the challenge is to create your own background. For my card, I used the random stamping technique with Versamark Ink to create a snowflake background for the image - "Ski Bear" by Whipper Snapper Designs. We have lots of avid skiers in our family so this will go out to one of them during the holiday season in December. I really love this easy, clean and simple design and I will definitely be making more of these cards for my stash! The sentiment on the inside is simply "Happy Holidays" from the SU set Many Merry Messages. The snowflake stamp in the background is from SU's Christmas Punch set.
