Almost Amethyst Hydrangea...

I have been enjoying lots of time stamping the last few days so, I have another card to post today as well. This Almost Amethyst Hydrangea card using the set Because I Care...did I mention how much I love this new flower! Ha! I used a sentiment from the set Whimsical Words as well. Might be kind of hard to see, but I added tiny half backed pearls to the hydrangea on this card as well.
I like this colour with touches of black and white, it is a hard colour to photograph - this was the best I could do! Enjoy the day!

Supplies:
Stamps: Because I Care, Whimsical Words
Inks & Markers: Almost Amethyst, mellow moss, Stazon Black
Paper: Almost Amethyst, AA dsp, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories: Black ribbon, circle punches, dimensionals, tiny half backed sticky pearls, brads, curved rectangle nestabilties die, swiss dots embossing folder

Birthday cake...

Hi there! I had a chance to make a card for today's featured stamper over at SCS. This is the card I cased from Debbie's gallery. I didn't have the ribbon tag so I put the birthday sentiment on a tag from one of the SU sizzlits 4 packs called 'Lots of Tags'. I kept the birthday theme but changed the colours and the shape of the die that the birthday cake image was stamped onto.

Hope you're enjoying your weekend!

Supplies:
Stamps: Happy Moments, Whimsical words
Inks & Markers: stazon black, regal rose, so saffron, real red
Paper: walk in the park dsp, real red, regal rose, so saffron, whisper white
Accessories: nestabilities, lots of tags die, buttons, DMC floss, Happy Birthday embossing folder, real red satin ribbon, dimensionals

Brocade Blue Hydrangea...

So long Brocade Blue...
This is another colour that will no longer be in the Colour Collections for SU... I have a lot of BB cardstock to use up, so I will definitely be posting more cards using this lovely colour over the next few months!

The base of this card is Night of Navy and the Damask embossed piece is Brocade Blue. The Hydrangea was also coloured in with Brocade Blue and Old Olive inks. The satin ribbon is Old Olive.
I really love this new flower it is so easy to colour and I like that. On this one, I also outlined it with soft sky ink and a blender pen.
Hope you get some stamping time today!
Supplies:
Stamps: Because I Care, sentiment is from Watercolour Trio
Paper: Night of Navy, Brocade Blue, Whisper White
Inks: Old Olive, Brocade Blue, Black
Accessories: Oval punches, oval nestability, Damask and Swiss Dots embossing folders, Old Olive satin ribbon, blender pen, dimensionals

A cheery Happy Birthday card using the in colours and On a Pedestal stamp set!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Supplies:
Stamps: On a Pedestal

Paper: whisper white, crushed curry, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP
Accessories: top note die and big shot machine, crushed curry ribbon, curly label punch, Boho Blossoms punch, scallop border punch

A Tri-fold pocket card...

Another masculine card to share today! I made this tri-fold pocket card using the tutorial under Resources on the SCS website.

I distressed the edges on the pocket, band and insert with my distressing tool and used some 'To the Nines' dsp for the band as well as a strip of brown dsp from 'Afternoon Tea'.
I cut out the stars using the bigshot and the Stars #2 die and adhered them to circles cut out using nestability circles. I made a tab of chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon for the insert and adhered it to the back with a large glue dot. The sentiment comes from the set 'Teeny Tiny Wishes'.
The colours used are chocolate chip and sage shadow (sage shadow will be gone soon as it is part of the SU Colour Renovation: Fond Farewell).
Have a wonderful day!

Happy Retirement...

I needed a masculine retirement card and settled on the lighthouse from the retired set Winds of Grace for the image.

I coloured the image with Bermuda Bay and Soft Suede markers and stamped it onto whisper white cardstock. The dsp is Thoroughly Modern. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

That's all I have to share today :)

happy birthday...

This card was created using the colour combo Regal Rose, So Saffron and Lavender Lace...the latter being a colour that we will soon be bidding a fond farewell too.

I don't have a lot of lavender lace cardstock left, but in an attempt to start the process of "out with the old and in with the new" here is the first of many cards to come using colours that will be part of the SU Colour Renovation: Fond Farewell.

The inspiration for this came from a card created by Jodie Collins seen here.

Have a great evening!

Supplies:
Stamps: Su Crazy for Cupcakes, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: so saffron, lavender lace, regal rose, whisper white, darling dots dsp
Accessories: Oval nestability, scallop border punch, medium oval punch, so saffron ribbon, SU markers, dimensionals

Birthday Wishes...

Good morning! I worked on this card last night cutting out the branches and then put every thing together this morning. This card was a bit labour intensive but I think the recipient will enjoy it so it was worth the extra bit of time :)

I used the sets Friends 24-7 and the birthday sentiment from Watercolour Trio. The paper and ink colours are Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla and some Old Olive. A little bit of dsp from Bella Rose and Thoroughly Modern were also added.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Holidays...

A Christmas card in June...I am trying to keep making them so that I will have enough by December!

I started with a base of old olive and layered with very vanilla, then added Haiku and Ski Slope dsp. The Penny Black image was stamped onto watercolour paper and I used various SU inks and an aqua painter to colour it. The sentiment is from the older SU set Riveting and the small snowflake is from Short & Sweet.

Chocolate chip satin ribbon and two red snaps were added to finish this one off!

Pink Hydrangea Thank You...

I had a bit of time this afternoon to stamp and I used the set 'Because I care' for the first time! This went together very quickly, first I embossed a piece of pink pirouette cardstock with a damask embossing folder and then coloured the image in with pretty in pink and old olive inks and a blender pen - super fast and easy!
I punched out one edge of the chocolate chip mat with the scallop border punch and added a piece of pink satin ribbon - I {heart} all the colours this satin ribbon comes in!

I added a small piece of designer paper from the retired pack 'Bella Rose' and then adhered the oval Thank You sentiment.
This is such a nice stamp set I'm sure I will be using it a lot!
I also received the new SU colour bundle with the arrival of this stamp set and hope to put some of those new colours into action on some new cards very soon :) I have to say I am so pleased they brought back baja breeze and pink pirouette I enjoyed using both of those colours very much!
Well, that's all I have to share with you today - I'm off to the back yard to soak up some of the wonderful sunshine we have here today!
Have a great evening!

I made this card yesterday using the sketch from Pal's Paper Arts blog.

I've used the sets Heartfelt Thanks and Heard from the Heart and card base is pale plum cs. The designer paper is Cottage Wall and I have also used whisper white and razzleberry cs.

Feels good to be able to get some stamping time in once again :)

Very Merry mice...

Wow! Not a single post from me in May! It was a very busy month at my house!!!

I finally have this cute carolling trio stamp from Penny Black in my possession, along with the other Christmas critters from the set, I hope to make lots of Christmas cards with them this year...here is the first one!

This card measures 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 and I've used soft suede, kraft, whisper white and some of the new cherry cobbler card stock as well. The dp is from the Thoroughly Modern paper pack. The image was coloured in with Copic markers and I sponged a little bit around the image to soften the look.

The "very merry" sentiment is from the set Short & Sweet.
Have a great day!
