Fifth Avenue For You...

Hi there, I made this tri-fold pocket card using the lovely Fifth Avenue Floral set! I think this set is wonderful for random stamping and the colour combinations are endless :)

I am sending a gift card with this, so I've added a strip of the leftover stamped paper along the very bottom of the insert and slid the gift card into that. The flower attached along the strip of designer paper was watercoloured with Rose Red and Chocolate Chip ink in the centre. A touch of diamond glaze was also added to the centre of the flower.
You can find a tutorial to make these tri-fold pocket cards on Splitcoast stamper's under Resources.

Supplies:
Stamps: SU Fifth Avenue Floral,
Inks & Markers: chocolate chip, rose red, pretty in pink
Paper: whisper white, pretty in pink , chocolate chip, Thoroughly Modern dp
Accessories: pretty in pink ribbon, mat pack, small oval punch

Of the Earth...

This is just a quick - clean and simple thank you card I made using the hostess set Of the Earth. I carried the stamping of the flowers onto the inside corner as well and added a "Thank You" in blue bayou ink.

Supplies:
Stamps: Of the Earth
Inks & Markers: really rust, blue bayou, sahara sand

Live, Laugh and Love...

Finally, some time to stamp :) The last few days have been busy and I am way behind on all my favourite sketch challenges! I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #61 found here. I made 2 small changes, not extending my ribbon over the side of the card as in the sketch and this is a standard A2 size and not a square :)

I used some Cottage Wall designer series paper with a sentiment stamp from the set On Your Birthday and the small flower from Vintage Vogue. Adhered a piece of scallop border trim, half backed pearls and some ribbon to finish it off!

It is snowing here again, they are great big fluffy flakes, looks quite pretty! But, wasn't it the first day of Spring on Saturday! lol!

Supplies:
Stamps: on your birthday, vintage vogue
Inks & Markers: orchid opulence, rich razzleberry
Paper: cottage wall dsp, rich razzleberry, whisper white, orchid opulence
Accessories: circle nesties and big shot, half backed pearls, ribbon, scallop border trim punch, dimensionals

Way to go!

Today's Ways to Use It challenge on Splitcoast Stamper's was to make a card of encouragement.

This little Penny Black stamp is one of my favourites, as at times in life we do have to walk a tightrope - it can be a balancing act!

I've used up some more of my Ginger Blossom dsp on this and some river rock cardstock that I have been squirreling away

Have a great day!

Supplies:
Stamps: Penny Black, sentiment ctmh
Inks & Markers: black stazon, prisma pencils and gamsol
Paper: river rock, very vanilla, watercolour, ginger blossom dsp

Tri-fold pocket card for Mother's Day...

For this tri-fold pocket card, I used today's SCS #262 challenge colours - rich razzleberry, orchid opulence and old olive and added some cottage wall dsp which is perfect with these colours.
The tutorial by Beate for tri-fold pocket cards can be found here.
I adhered a 2" piece of cs to the top note so that it would sit at the height I wanted it to inside the pocket. You could easily mat the entire topnote if you wanted some additional colour behind it inside the pocket, I just wanted to keep the look simple for this and have the focus on the bird and Happy Mother's Day sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Supplies:
Stamps: Always, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Inks & Markers: orchid opulence, old olive
Paper: cottage wall dsp, rich razzleberry, orchid opulence, old olive, whisper white
Accessories: top note die and bigshot, scallop, circles, corner rounder, modern label and word window punches, white taffeta ribbon, dimensionals, dinner plate to trace a template for arc

Lighthouse Trio...

Good morning! I was taking inventory of my card stash the other day and realized I had very few masculine cards. So, yesterday I made these three similar cards using the retired set A Light Unto My Path.

They all use some of the specialty paper from To the Nine's Paper Pack, combined with mellow moss, always artichoke, chocolate chip and very vanilla cs.
The layout is the same for each card but I made a few minor changes to each one.
I'll be back later with something "pretty" {lol}

Stamps: A :Light Unto My Path, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Sincere Salutations
Inks & Markers: mellow moss, chocolate chip

Scrapbooking layout...

This is a layout I will be using for an upcoming scrapbooking class - dsp, cs and title will all be different, but the layout will be the same for all 4 people attending. I really like this layout as it displays 1-4x6, 1-5x7, and 3 3.5 x 3.5 photos and showcases a nice piece of scrapbooking paper. Just by changing the papers and title it is a layout that can be used over and over again. You can always move the first page into the second page position to change things up even more - lots of possibilities.

Hope you have had an enjoyable weekend!

I'm off to watch a movie and enjoy some popcorn!!! :)

Stamps: Su Contempo alphabet
Inks & Markers: SU night of navy
Paper: SU night of navy and whisper white cs, dp and cs from ctmh

Dear Father...

Good morning! On Friday I made this card for my FIL for this year's Father's Day but haven't had time to post until now, as it has been a busy but enjoyable weekend :) We have been blessed with glorious weather for the past few days and combined with being outside a fair bit and visiting a friend who is here for the weekend it has been just a wonderful few days!

As I was cleaning up my stamping room the other day I found some old buttons and this brown leaf button was one of them, so I decided to add it to this year's Father's Day card.
I've used Well Scripted on the front of the card with Parisian Breeze Dsp. Inside I've stamped a nice sentiment to go along with it :) My DH thinks his Dad will love it!
Have a wonderful day!

The dsp is Wintergreen (retired) and the Vintage Skaters come from the set Winter Post. They remind me of my grandparents skating of the frozen lake when we would go for Christmas vacation in Quebec :) Not only were they amazing skaters they were also excellent dancers.

I like this sketch it was fun to combine all the dsp :)

Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo...

Good morning! I am back today with a birthday card to show you. Created with the in colours Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay - it is bright and cheerful!

This is my first attempt at using a large grommet on a card but I think it turned out o.k. - I like the look of it anyways :) I've used a stamp from the set Crazy for Cupcakes as the main image and the sentiment comes from the wonderful new set Well Scripted. I iced these cupcakes with some dazzling diamonds glitter for a little sparkle and added some piercing as well.

I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the Olympics lately so I am having a little TV withdrawl today (LOL), normally I never watch any TV throughout the day but that was certainly not the case the last two weeks! Now that it is all over I can squeeze in more time to create!

Have an enjoyable day!

Supplies:
Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes, Well Scripted
Inks & Markers: black stazon, bermuda bay, melon mambo, soft suede
Paper: whisper white, bermuda bay, melon mambo, Razzleberry Lemonade dsp
