Happy Fall...

Hi there! In keeping with the chilly temperatures that have quickly been making there way to my northern home, is this seasonal card! It uses an older stamp set called Happy Fall Y'all (2002).

I borrowed it from a friend of mine and spent some time yesterday watercolouring this scarecrow image and pumpkins. The base is bordering blue and I've stamped it in the same colour with the Sanded background. The little pumpkins were cut out and adhered with dimensionals. Amazingly, the only scrap of designer paper on this card is from Autumn Vine it is the more mustard mat behind the scarecrow image! I love designer papers and as a rule most of my cards have lots - this is an exception :)

Well, that's all for now - Enjoy your day!

Supplies:
Stamps: Happy Fall Y'all
Inks & Markers: various SU
Paper: watercolour, chocolate chip, autumn vine dp
Accessories: chocolate chip ribbon, dimensionals, oval punches

Christmas Punch Top Note Tags and Box set...

Today I have this Christmas tag and coordinating box project to share with you. I used a tutorial I found quite a while back from Andrea Walfords blog Sunny Stampin'. Direct link to tutorial here.

For the top note tags I combined the hostess set Christmas Punch with Ski Slope designer papers (retired) . I used pewter jumbo brads in the corners and silver elastic cording (which I may change to white taffeta ribbon when I get my next order, we'll see :)

I found the box could easily fit a few more tags so I may make up a few more to tuck in as well. This will make a nice gift for the holidays I think :)

Thanks for dropping by - have a great day!

Supplies:
Stamps: christmas punch
Inks & Markers: real red old olive, chocolate chip
Paper: ski slope, old olive, real red, whisper white
Accessories: pewter brads, silver elastic cord, white organdy ribbon, top note die, lots of tags die, crop-a-dile tool, ribbon, sticky tape, lace border punch, 1/4 " hole punch

SSSC37, friend like you...

I made this for today's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge found here on Karen's blog - The Sweetest Thing :)

I have used the set Always for the bird and flower embellishment and the sentiment comes from The More the Merrier.

Supplies:
Stamps: Always, The More the Merrier
Inks & Markers: pretty in pink, chocolate chip, pumpkin pie
Paper: whisper white, chocolate chip, Sweet Always dp
Accessories: labels 2, pretty in pink ribbon, scallop and circle punches, orange brad, dimensionals

Razzleberry Kindness...

Today's featured stamper on SCS is Nancy Ruth. Here is the card I cased. I kept the exact same layout and changed the placement of the ribbon and added designer paper instead of a second stamp to the top note :)

This card used Razzleberry Lemonade paper and Heard from the Heart ( sentiment) and The more the Merrier (heart) stamp sets.

I just received my in colour ribbon from a ribbon share I participated in so it was perfect timing for this card - a big thanks to Debbie for organizing that :)

So Thankful...

I had a bit of time this afternoon to make another card :-) with Thanksgiving fast approaching I decided to create a card to send to family.

I really love Autumn colours and especially love this retired paper Autumn Vine from SU.

The image was coloured with SU markers and a blender pen and inks.

Merry & Bright Snowmen...

Good morning! I have a cheery Christmas card to share with you today :)

I've used The More the Merrier stamp set again (I {heart} these snowmen!) I watercoloured them and then sponged some soft sky in the background. The sentiment "Merry & Bright" is from the set To You & Yours.

I still have quite a bit of retired Ski Slope dp in my stash so I used up some of it for this card!

Edit: LSC239 on SCS SOS = snowmen, circles (O) and ski slope :)

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

With Heartfelt Sympathy...

Hello there, today I made these two Floral Sympathy cards using the flower from the set Bloomin' Beautiful and the sentiment from Close as a Memory .

After stamping the flower and colouring it with a blender pen and inks I cut out an oval on a piece of scrap paper with a die and the bigshot and used it to create the oval shape for sponging the background around the flower image. After that, I stamped the sentiment on and adhered the layers together.

Supplies:
Stamps: bloomin' beautiful, close as a memory
Inks & Markers: so saffron, pretty in pink, kiwi kiss, soft sky, almost amethyst
Paper: whisper white, pink pirouette, basic black, almost amethyst
Accessories: oval die and big shot, sponge

winter wishes for wsc97...

Wow 2 posts in 1 day! That is a record for the past few months for me - lol! This card measures 4 1/4 square and is for the weekend sketch challenge from 2 weeks ago found here. Over the next little while I am hoping to catch up on some of the great sketches I have missed out on lately!
I used soft sky on a base of chocolate chip with a piece of Muirfield dp. The snowmen are from The More the Merrier set and I stamped them on watercolour paper and coloured them with an aqua brush and inks. I've also added some piercing and dazzling diamonds for sparkly snow :)

a halloween hi!

Good morning!

Here is a simple Halloween card I made using some watercolour paper, an aqua brush and inks. The stamp is from The More the Merrier. The dp is retired Haiku.

Have a great day!

Here for you...

I know I haven't been posting very many cards lately, but I have been back working part-time, trying to finish up a few sewing projects and typically September is a very busy month at our house anyways with the beginning of ringette season for my DD and school for both kids. So, I am hopeful that I can get back into a more consistent routine of posting cards soon!

I did make this card last night using the Friends 24-7 set and a favourite "old" in colour - baja breeze! Combined with a piece of retired Urban Garden dp and some Chocolate Chip ribbon :) As I was making this late in the evening I started getting very tired and therefore it isn't very elaborate - to be honest I just wanted to get it finished and go to sleep!

I have been checking as many blogs as I can when time permits to keep an eye on what you have been creating, and as usual there have been some beautiful cards and projects to motivate and inspire! You really are a talented group of papercrafters!

Thanks for stopping by today :)

Supplies:
Stamps: friends 24-7
Inks & Markers: chocolate chip, baja breeze, old olive, timber brown stazon
Paper: baja breeze, whisper white, chocolate chip, urban garden
Accessories: circle punches, ribbon, sponge dauber, dimensionals

Rose Red Flowers...

Finally, a CARD post.... I know it has been ages since I posted a card, but last night I finally got busy and cleaned off the scrapbooking stuff and made a card!

As usual, I enjoyed making this thoroughly, I love the ease and speed with which a card goes together - especially after having spent sometime scrapbooking and quilting where things take a lot longer to complete!

Yes, quilting, I have finished off 2 baby quilts over the past few weeks as well and I have to make at least one more before November! If your interested you can see photos of them on my other blog (click the link on the side bar).

So, you will likely see some baby cards posted soon too, as I will need a few to go along with the quilts.

Have a great day!

Supplies:
Stamps: Bloomin' Beautiful, sentiment - Great Friend
Inks & Markers: rose red, so saffron, kiwi kiss, chocolate chip
Paper: raspberry tart, chocolate chip, very vanilla, parisian breeze
Accessories: oval punches, top note die, lace border punch, dimensionals

Carefree...

Hi there, I made these 2 scrapbooking pages and another double page that is almost finished, the other night at my friend's house. They will be perfect for some photos I took back in August of the kids surfing on the lake behind the boat.

Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend!
