mini vacation photo album...

This small vacation album which measures 6 x 6 is a gift for our friends that visited with us for two weeks this July! Sorry for the not-so-great photos, I found it difficult to get a decent shot.

Here's a photo of the front cover...

I found this tutorial at Jen's Stamping Creations and made my album using some retired papers - pacific point, kiwi kiss and Muirfield dp. I think it will make a nice keepsake for our friends.
I might make a few more using up some of my other retired designer papers, leave them photo-free and give them away for Christmas gifts! They could add their own photos!

In the tutorial album shown there were little squares embellished with flowers on each of the 3 doors, but I haven't added anything yet, I'm still trying to decide what to put on as an embellishment.
Here is another view from the top...

Anyways, that's what I have been working on the past few days when I have had time to be crafty :)

Thanks for stopping in.

Supplies:

Mojo97 - so happy to have a friend like you...

Hello, today I was having our carpets steam cleaned and they came at 11:00 am, but then the truck broke down when all the carpets had been sprayed with the wet soap...waited another hour before finding out that there would have to be another truck come in the late afternoon...finally at 3:30 pm he came with a new truck ... and just left 15 minutes ago at 6:00 pm! Waiting for it to be completed all day put me in a bit of a *funk* sooooo I made this card for today's Mojo Monday Challenge and I am having DH take me out for a late dinner since all the carpets are damp and likely won't be dry until midnight. That makes me HAPPY :)
My Personal quote for today was: "Don't sweat the SMALL stuff!" and a carpet cleaning fiasco is certainly SMALL stuff in my humble opinion, sure a bit of an inconvience but that's OK :)

Anyways, enough chatter for now, have a great evening.

IC190...

For this card I used the colours from today's inspiration challenge - a living room from the Better Homes & Gardens Magazine, you can view a picture of it on SCS.

Crushed curry and certainly celery were the two colours I worked with on this card starting with a white base.

You can view the gallery of inspired cards here on Splitcoaststampers .

Have a great evening!

Beth

Sweet Birthday...

I used today's OCC sketch challenge as a starting point for this card.

Su's Crazy for Cupcakes set is perfect for cards with ovals! The dp is from the new paper called Razzleberry which I am looking forward to using more of in the future having just started to cut into it :)

The sentiment is stamped onto a tag from the lots of tags die set and adhered to (retired)pumpkin pie striped grosgrain ribbon.

Pocket Posies...

Well hello there...it has been a while!

I have had a wonderful summer so far, vacationing with good friends and family and I have been away from my stamping room for quite some time.

Those of you from Alberta know that the summer is short and sweet here and so I have been making the most of the warmer weather and sunny sky while it lasts :)

I had not used this Pocket Silhouette set before, so I thought it would be a good set to get back in the stamping groove with. This is a quick and easy card and probably could be considered a CAS (clean and simple) card!

I hope you are all enjoying your summer!

Cheers,
